WELLNESS ASSESSMENTS
A Wellness Assessment is similar to the idea of a ‘routine physical’ from a physician. You will receive a comprehensive movement assessment within the context of your typical daily tasks and exercise, and your goals for the appointment. If desired, you will receive tailored recommendations for improving or maintaining your performance and function. As preventive care, a Wellness Assessment is recommended at least once per year, and as frequent as quarterly if you regularly exercise or participate in manual labor.
What is the difference between a Wellness Assessment and an Evaluation?
A Physical Therapy Wellness Assessment is preventive, to help keep you active in your lifestyle, usually in the absence of specific symptoms, pain, or disability.
A Physical Therapy Evaluation is rehabilitative, to address existing symptoms or disability. If you would like treatment for current injuries, pain, symptoms, or disability, please schedule a PT Evaluation.
